Our Sunday morning attendance in 2010 is averaging 76 (71 last year) with a number of new visitors.

The Grace Annual Meeting is May 7. The Nominating Committee is busy recruiting ministry officers, the Trustees are working on a balanced budget, and the Elder and Parish Boards are making plans for the future ministry. Annual Reports and Ministry Plans are to be submitted to Judy Kumma by April 25th for publication.

Concert of Prayer & Communion Service, Sunday, April 18, 6:00 pm. This is an evening for the whole congregation to join as one voice in prayer.

Youth: We thank the youth for sponsoring the Easter Breakfast. Watch for details on a special evening for the congregation on May 2. Regular Sunday evening meetings are at 6:00 pm. Join us and bring a friend!

MOPS: The group has grown to the point where a waiting list for new participants will be required until there is an increase in staff. Kim Gainza is the one to see.

Thursday Evening Fellowship Groups are reconvening, at South Pointe with Pastor Foss in Acts, and tentatively at Manor Care with Pastor Dan and ‘Glimpses Beyond the Jordan’ (life on earth). You are welcome to join either group.

Bible Camp registration forms are available on the Information Table.

District Men’s and Women’s Retreats are held in October. Information is now available.

Prayer Notes:
April is the closing month in our CLBA Synodical year. We always depend on generous giving to our co-operative ministries this month to meet our financial goals, and particularly this year in the economic downturn.

We pray for God’s healing mercy on Lavonne, Larry, Margun, Wyvetta, Joe, Emma, and Naomi, experiencing ongoing physical challenges.

Pastor Bob Hosmer is serving our Stanwood congregation part time. We ask the Father to give him a fruitful ministry in the congregation and his work as a Marketplace Chaplain.

We ask the Father for Mindy Kim’s health, safety, and effective ministry on her mission to Uzbekistan. (Her reports are placed in the Mission Notebook on the information table.)

We ask the Father for all the necessary resources required, material and spiritual, to accomplish the task He has given us. We are asking for partners in the use of our facility and wisdom in using what we have been given.

Andrew and Kris Larsen welcome his parents for a visit. May it be a time of joyful encouragement. Praise God that the Taiwan and Japan CLB churches are planning a cooperative church planting mission in Asia.

May the Father bless the ministry of the Jesus Fellowship Church.

Growing old can be very difficult in body, mind, and spirit. Remember especially in your prayers and contacts, Erling, Gudrun, Vi, and any others in our congregation who can’t join us because they are suffering age related disability.

Pray for the continued growth in our new MOPS ministry and the staff needed to support it.

May God bless the ministry of our congregation as each of us seeks to be His person in our individual worlds.

We ask the Father to bless the preparations being made for our congregational annual meeting in May.

We would like to form a Missions Committee to promote a greater awareness in the congregation of Christ’s mission worldwide. If you might be interested in participating, see Pastor Dan.

‘Our Grace mission is to be an instrument of God’s love trough which our world will come to know Jesus Christ as Savior and follow Him as Lord.’ We have restated His Great Commission for congregational use in publication, supported by our six commitments: Salvation, Worship, Prayer, Word, Fellowship, and Service.

Youth:

Our next big event is a camp out at Ocean Shores July 17-19. National Youth Convention, August 9-12, Estes Park, CO.

Vacation Bible School is scheduled for July 6-10. We are looking forward to a great week! Pre-registration is going well. There are still opportunities for service. See Judy Lazicki. And donations for the purchase of food are welcome. The special offering project is the Everett Mission Women and Children’s Shelter.

Several of our ministries are in recess for the summer: Sunday School, Home Fellowship Groups, Women of Grace, Youth Bible Studies. Watch for other activities.

Prayer Notes:

We ask the Father for all the necessary resources required, material and spiritual, to accomplish the task He has given us.

We continue to remember those in our congregation in critical medical situations: Nadine & Emma L, as well as seniors struggling with the debilitating effects of aging.

May God bless our VBS with all the kids we can handle; families of God would add to our church family; health and safety for children and staff; the harmony of the Holy Spirit, and the effective presentation of the saving message of Jesus Christ.

We ask the Father to lead us into a new ministry that will connect with our community

Pray that Andrew and Kris Larsen and their children will make many friends in their neighborhood in Taiwan, with the increasing opportunities to share the good news of Jesus, and that they will be encouraged in their home away from family and friends.

May our Father bless the traveling and vacationing members of our congregation during the summer months with safetly, recreation, good family times, and spiritual refreshment.

Prayer Notes:

We ask the Father for all the necessary resources required, material and spiritual, to accomplish the task He has given us. We are facing some difficult decisions and ask for wisdom for the Boards. Is it His will that we share our facility more equally with other ministries?

May God renew His Church in this time of national economic distress.

We continue to remember those in our congregation in critical medical situations: Nadine, Leo, Emma L, as well as seniors struggling with the debilitating effects of aging.

May God bless the Jesus Fellowship Church in their ministry in our facility.

May God bless the preparations underway for our VBS.

We ask the Father to lead us into a new ministry that will connect with our community.

We thank God for those He is sending into our fellowship. We want to be a church family for them in every way.

Pray that Andrew and Kris Larsen will find ways to be more deeply connected to people in their neighborhood and that Kris will find more opportunity for language study.

We thank the Father for the gift of Leo Douglas and the hope that we will see him again.

May our Father bless the traveling and vacationing members of our congregation during the summer months with safetly, recreation, good family times, and spiritual refreshment.

Ask the Father to bless Bob Hosmer’s ministry as a Marketplace Chaplain with hearts open to him and to the Lord through his witness.

We ask the Father to bless our Men’s Prayer Breakfast initiative with the effective ministry to His glory.
